In this case, a concern in the media is the affect it is having on Afro-American women. The mass media is heavily demeaning some African-American women, causing the public to have an unhealthy go steady of beauty, indecent opinions of African-American women, and desensitization of their ability to perform in society. The graduation element of influence is the understand of beauty in the mass media today. What is viewed as beauty leaves little room for passel who do non fit the category, especially African-American women. This is severe because society is seeing replicas of the same image daily. Society is solo beingness fed certain images and is being starved of the predilection that being white, blonde, blue eyed, skinny, or over sexual does not needs make a person beautiful.
